Legendary French producer Kavinsky, recently released the title track to his EP called Nightcall. The track is more down-tempo than his usual stuff but don't let that steer you away from the greatness of it. Produced by Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo (one half of Daft muthafuckin' Punk) and mixed by SebastiAn (Ed Rec), this song a straight up french electro love ballad between robot and his girl (Lovfoxx of CSS). Listening to it reminds me of the Homework era of Daft Punk which only makes me more anxious to see the new Tron movie. For you nerds who've been living under a rock, Daft Punk is creating the entire soundtrack for the movie. I know, EPIC. Unfortunately, Nightcall isn't available for download so you'll have to enjoy it through this stream but be sure to grab the mp3 when it's released later this month. Nightcall by Kavinsky
But the good news is that da mighty Breakbot did a remix for it and once again, transformed the track into a sultry, funky love tune. Gotta love that bass. I swear, everything Breakbot touches turns into pure gold. Cannot wait for a full LP from this frenchy. And if you like what you hear then you'll love this other track, Baby I'm Yours from his EP along with his other remixes. Why do french people make such good music??? Enjoy!
From the ashes of the former Oregon metropolis known as Portland rises Volcano City, emanating soundwaves of pleasure and psychic images of unknown fearsome things to all who live in its shadow. Also, parties & bullshit.
All the songs on here are solely the property of the artist. Volcano City strongly encourages you to support artists you like by buying their albums and seeing them live (its much more fun). If you want us to take something down or put something up, shoot us an email at volcanocityblog@gmail.com.
If you do that whole Facebook thing, become a fan. If you're on your Twitter game, hit that up too.
