James Blake

If you haven't seen it already, 22-year old producer James Blake has a new video up on the web of his Feist cover "Limit To Your Love." Whether you enjoy his music or not, it is hard to believe that someone this young can make music so detailed and complex. He has been absorbing musical knowledge from years of piano lessons and from studying contemporary music at Blur's alma mater Goldsmith College, leading him to subtly rise faster than you can say Intelligent Dance Music. Watch his new video below.

To further try and convince you that he has sky high potential, here is his track "Footnotes" from his CMYK ep. This track is one of the most original electronic songs I've heard in a while. He has a very unique skill of creating empty space in his songs that work magically. This tune sounds like a melancholy love song sung by an android programmed with some deep human emotions. Didn't know indie darlings could be boys! Enjoy

Alright zeflings, check out this fokken new video from DIE ANTWOORD. The song is Evil Boy (one of Ninja's many tattoos) and its got it all: rat people, dick cults, Diplo with a mustache, Yo-Landi as a rat queen (she has 23 of them!) and titties with no nips and Yo-Landi's own with eyeballs! I'd love to trade places with Diplo. This is far and away Yo-Landi's best lyrics to date. See you julle naaiers at the Crystal Ballroom on October 14! Be sure to full screen this.

Darwin DEEZ

Come explore the cosmos with Darwin Deez and Lucky Number Music in this mystical adventure of a music video. From the same people who brought you Sebastien Tellier and his fine ASS Video comes another creative installation in what is a growing trend, the indie music video. Hope to see more from these guys. BTW, how do I get my hair to do that?

BARBRA STREISAND MUSIC VIDEO

Duck Sauce's audio-cocaine Barbra Streisand has been railed all over the place this last summer, effectively replacing Duck Sauce's other New York tribute, aNYway. They've just made a music video made of one week of them partying in New York City.

So Me directs the video, which features multiple guest shots as A-Trak and Armand Van Helden rip across the City partying, DJing, cooking, basically living it up. An incomplete list: ?uestlove of the Roots, a dude who I'm pretty sure is Twitter dilettante The Fat Jew, Santogold, Dave-1, Kanye West, Pharrell, and most importantly the good people of New York City. The best of all has to be when P-Thugg shows up and shoots about 500 cc's of dopamine into your brain. Or the fake Valium'd-out Barbra herself. Take a mini-vacation to the Big Apple and watch this video. This shit is about to get viral.

El Guincho "Bombay" Video

Mexico's answer to Animal Collective, El Guincho, has made a bizarrely awesome new video for his song Bombay. If you like people doing mystical things, surreal things, and weirdly sexy things, with a heavy dose of titties and a little bit of Carl Sagan, then check this video out.

El Guincho - Bombay

As an addition, my Spanish is pretty rusty but I'm pretty sure that what I'm able to see at  this website leads me to believe that a full movie could be in the works via IFC. That would be rad.

Arcade Fire Interactive Music Video Website

Go to this website here and enter in the address of your childhood home and let Arcade Fire tug on your heart strings. Its a surprisingly unexpectedly awesome music video for the song "Used to Wait" off of their new album The Suburbs. Find your way into their sold-out show September 30th at the Memorial Coliseum. Do it!

Oh Guidance Counselor....

Those studio recordings sound fantastic, and this video isn't bad either:

Cee-Lo Covers Band of Horses

Cee-Lo Green reminds everybody that the shit he pulled in Gnarls Barkley was just for kicks with this great music video starring the girl you almost wrecked yourself with but will tell your grandparents about years from now. The girl that Band of Horses was singing about originally in this song, No One's Gonna Love You, has just left those indie dorks for Cee-Lo's black ass. Its not a song of forlorn unrequited love anymore, its Cee-Lo telling this girl that no one's gonna love her but him. Word.

Summer!

Let the seasons wash over you, and revel in summer.

Arcade Fire, once again, will take over.

The oft-imitated but never replicated saviors of indie-rock, Arcade Fire, have been laying dormant since the release of their sophomore album Neon Bible in 2007 (save for the Obama stumping they did). Now, a looong three years later they are ready to unleash upon the world a new album, The Suburbs, and will embark on a tour in support of said album. A few days ago they had a secret, private warm-up show in Montreal (their first live show in almost 3 years!) to kick off the tour, and if the videos are any indication the new album, and tour, will be very, very good.

Speak- Carrie (RAC Remix)

If you're like me, oftentimes you'll listen to a song and imagine in your head how you could remix it. Then, when you set about remixing it, you'll find that it's awful and nothing like you imagined. Or it's just plain awful.
RAC (Remix Artist's Collective), doesn't seem to have this particular problem, as everything they touch seems to turn into gold. The new RAC remix of Speak's "Carrie" continues this trend, as the original song's pop guitar riff is stripped away, and in it's place is put a highly danceable beat, along with the other trademark RAC effects. The result is a brilliant reinterpretation that manages to stay true to the original song. Kudos, RAC.

ISA GT Pela'O Music Video

Isa GT is a little Colombian cutie who has been running parties in London for years. I want her to be my wife. Check out the Crookers remix of her song Pela'O. She has just released a debut EP on Man Recordings called "Pa 'Chikkiri". I don't know what language she's speaking either.
